Jim Drummond and Joe Buser first contemplated their initial concept for Lafayette City Grill late in 2004. In January of '05, when the ground floor of the recently rennovated Wallace Motor Co. became available, the pair accelerated their plans to open a new independent restaurant in downtown Lafayette, Indiana.

Lafayette City Grill opened its doors to the public in February of 2006, roughly a year after our efforts began. We've received much support and positive response from the community and from our guests, for which we all are very grateful. And as new members join our staff, they quickly become invested too — organized around the common goal of making your experience here the best they know how to make it.
